Movers and Packers in Dubai Marina
A Dubai Marina move is a high-rise move: your tower books the service lift and loading bay, and Emaar Community Management, which lists Dubai Marina among its communities, runs the move-in permit portal. Expect around AED 800–1,200 for a studio and AED 1,200–1,800 for a 1-bedroom at typical Dubai market rates.

Why the lift booking decides your Marina moving day
The Marina has some of the tallest residential towers in the city, among them Princess Tower, Marina 101, Cayan Tower, The Torch, Ocean Heights and Marina Gate. They were built by different developers, so each one has its own owners' association and its own rules for lift slots, corridor padding and damage deposits.
Ask your tower for a service lift slot before you confirm a mover, because the slot fixes the day and the start time. Leases often end at month end, so the last days of a month tend to be the hardest to book in the big towers. The service lift booking guide lists what to ask for.
A studio or 1-bedroom on a high floor is mostly lift time, not loading time. Ask apartment movers to quote on your floor number, the lift slot length and the walk from the loading bay to the lift.
Permits: ECM, your tower, and JBR next door
ECM lists Dubai Marina as one of its managed communities and takes move-in permit applications through the Sakani portal; the Emaar permit guide explains the steps. Your tower's management may ask for its own move form on top, so ask reception which documents it wants.
Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is not part of this process. Dubai Holding Community Management lists JBR among the Dubai Properties communities it manages, so a move into the Sadaf, Bahar, Rimal, Murjan, Shams or Amwaj clusters follows DHCM's rules instead (see the DHCM permit guide).
Sheikh Zayed Road and Marina traffic
From 1 October 2026 the RTA closes Sheikh Zayed Road to trucks from 6 am to 10 pm. Many routes into the Marina start from that road, so ask your mover which vehicle it will send, whether that vehicle falls under the restriction and which route it will take.
Inside the Marina, the roads around Marina Walk and the tram line can be slow at weekends. A weekday morning slot is usually the calmest, provided your tower allows it.
What a Dubai Marina apartment move usually costs
Market ranges for Dubai do not change by district, but a long lift wait or a basement loading bay far from the lift adds hours, and hours are what movers charge for.

Dubai Marina moving questions
Do Dubai Marina towers charge a move-in deposit?
Some do. Towers that hold a refundable damage deposit while the lift is in use typically ask AED 1,000–2,000, and many ask for none. Get the amount and the refund terms from your tower's management in writing.
How far ahead should I book a move in Dubai Marina?
Book the service lift first, because the slot sets the date, then confirm the mover for that slot. Month-end dates go first in the large towers, so ask for a slot as soon as your Ejari is ready.
Is JBR covered by the Emaar permit?
No. JBR is on Dubai Holding Community Management's list of communities, so its move rules come from DHCM and your building, not from Emaar Community Management.
