One island, one road in
The island is reached by road over the bridge from Sheikh Zayed Road, with a footbridge from JBR for pedestrians; Ain Dubai stands on the island. From 1 October 2026 the RTA closes Sheikh Zayed Road to trucks from 6 am to 10 pm, so ask your mover how its vehicle will get to the bridge and at what time.
Each Bluewaters Residences building has its own management. Ask it where the truck stops and how long the service lift is yours; the lift booking guide lists the questions.
The island's hotels, restaurants and beach draw visitors in the evenings and at weekends, so a weekday morning slot keeps the truck out of the visitor traffic on the bridge.
DHCM and Meraas permits on Bluewaters
DHCM lists Bluewaters among the Meraas communities it manages, and under its rule book a moving crew must have its own permit, requested in the app, before it reaches the residences. The Meraas permit guide and the DHCM guide cover the documents.
If your flat has large glass or stone furniture, ask for full packing and for those pieces to be wrapped and crated.
Short hops from the Marina and JBR
Many Bluewaters moves start or end a few minutes away, in Dubai Marina or at JBR. On a trip that short the drive is almost nothing and the quote is mostly loading time, so it pays to book both buildings' service lifts for the same window and have the boxes sealed and labelled before the crew arrives.
Going the other way, from an island flat to a villa, is a bigger change in volume than it looks. Ask apartment movers to price from a room list, and read the Dubai Marina guide if your new tower is across the water.
Typical Bluewaters moving costs
