Movers in Palm Jumeirah: Villas and Apartments

Fronds, trunk and crescent: three different moves

Villas on the fronds are the classic Palm move. Each frond is a dead-end road off the trunk, so the truck parks in the street outside the villa and the crew works through the front door and garden. A large villa with outdoor furniture, a gym or a piano is a full day or more; villa movers usually survey it first.

The trunk is apartment buildings. DHCM lists Shoreline Apartments, Golden Mile, Marina Residences, Palm Views and The Palm Tower Residences among the Palm properties it manages. Here the job looks like any tower move: a service lift booking, a loading bay and protection for shared corridors.

On the crescent and in the hotel-branded residences, the building's own management usually sets the delivery entrance and the hours, so ask before you give the mover a time.

Nakheel and DHCM permits on the Palm

Nakheel's FAQ says move-in and move-out permits are applied for online through its website or app, and Nakheel Online Services lists a "Move in/out of my property" service. DHCM's community rules (October 2026 edition) add that movers need a separate permit before they are given access, applied for through the community app.

Apartment buildings may ask for their own form and lift booking on top. The Nakheel permit guide and the DHCM guide cover the documents.

Island traffic and timing

Traffic on the trunk builds around the malls, beach clubs and hotels, so an early start helps. Sheikh Zayed Road, which many journeys to the Palm use, is closed to trucks from 6 am to 10 pm from 1 October 2026; ask the mover whether its vehicle is affected and how it will reach the island.

If your new villa is not ready on the day you leave the old one, ask about short-term storage for the gap rather than paying for a second move day.

Palm Jumeirah moving questions

Who issues move permits on Palm Jumeirah?

Nakheel takes move-in and move-out requests online through its website and app, and DHCM, which manages the Palm, requires a separate permit for movers before access. Apartment buildings on the trunk may also need their own lift booking.

What does a villa move on the Palm cost?

For a whole villa, Dubai price pages give AED 3,500–6,000 at 3 bedrooms, AED 5,000–7,000 at 4 and AED 7,000–10,000 at 5. Packing a 3 to 4-bedroom villa is another AED 1,500–3,000.

Do Palm apartments need a lift booking as well as the Nakheel permit?

Usually, yes. The community permit gets the movers past security; the building's own management books the service lift and loading bay. Ask both before you fix the date.
