Clusters, streets and building numbers
The six clusters, Mediterranean, Mogul, Zen, Cactus, Mesoamerican and Contemporary, look alike from the road, and each has numbered buildings. Give the mover the cluster and building number, and say which side of the building the entrance is on.
Most homes are studios and 1 or 2-bedroom flats, which suits studio movers and small apartment moves.
Nakheel and DHCM permits, and small lifts
Nakheel's FAQ says move-in and move-out permits are applied for online through its website or app, and DHCM, the community manager, will not let a moving crew in until it holds its own permit. The Nakheel permit guide covers the documents.
Lifts in low-rise blocks can be small. Measure your largest sofa, wardrobe and bed base, and ask the mover to take apart anything that will not fit; the per-item rate is in the table below.
Leaving Discovery Gardens: deposits and final bills
When you leave, ask the landlord for the inspection date in writing and photograph the flat once it is empty. Cancel Ejari through the Dubai Land Department, which is free online, and ask DEWA to deactivate the account for your move-out date; DEWA emails the final bill within 24 working hours and refunds whatever is left of the deposit by IBAN transfer, cheque or transfer to your new account.
