Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Movers Dubai ("we", "us") runs movers-dubai.ae, an independent moving guide and quote-request service for Dubai. We are not a moving company. We decide how the personal data collected on this website is used, and this policy explains how.

2. What we collect through the quote form

When you send a quote request, we collect what you enter:

• the type of move (home, office, international, packing or storage) and the property size;
• the areas you are moving from and to, your move date and how flexible it is;
• your name and phone number;
• your email address, if you choose to give it;
• anything you write in the notes field;
• that you ticked the box agreeing to these terms and this policy, and the time you sent the form;
• the page you sent the form from and, if known, the page you first landed on, the referring website and any campaign (utm) tags in the link you followed.

Please do not put ID numbers, payment details or health information in the notes. We do not take payments, so we never collect card or bank details.

3. What is collected automatically

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load only after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, or do not answer, neither is loaded.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-S52M5XLGCM), loaded with Google's gtag.js, to count visits and see which pages and steps of the quote form are used. It records pages viewed, events such as starting or sending the quote form, the referring website, device and browser type, and an approximate location (country or city) that Google derives from your IP address. Google processes this data under its privacy policy.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use pages, through heatmaps and session recordings of clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can fix layout and usability problems. Microsoft processes this data under its privacy statement.

4. Cookies and browser storage

The cookie banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies does not stop the quote form from working.

5. How we use your information

• To pass on your quote request: we send the details from the form to a moving company that serves your area, so it can contact you and quote. We do this because you asked us to and gave your consent on the form.
• To answer notes you send: corrections to the guides, questions and data requests.
• To run and improve the website: analytics show which pages help and where the form is hard to use.
• To meet legal duties: for example if an authority lawfully asks for information.

We do not send newsletters or marketing emails, and we do not sell your personal data.

6. Who receives your information

The moving company that receives your request

Your quote request is shared with a moving company that serves your area. That company may pay Movers Dubai for the referral. Once it has your details, it uses them under its own privacy policy, and any booking you make is between you and that company. If you would rather not be contacted after sending a request, tell the mover directly, or send us a note through the form.

Service providers

• Cloudflare: Cloudflare Pages (serves the website) and Workers KV (stores quote requests).
• Purelymail: email hosting that delivers each quote request to the inbox of the people who run the site.
• Google: Google Analytics.
• Microsoft: Clarity (usage analytics).

Authorities

We disclose information when UAE law, a court order or a competent authority requires it.

A change of operator

If movers-dubai.ae is sold, or comes to be operated by or together with a moving company, the data we hold may pass to the new operator. We will update this policy and name the new operator before that happens.

7. Data stored outside the UAE

Cloudflare, Purelymail, Google and Microsoft may store and process data on servers outside the UAE. We use these providers under their standard data processing terms.

8. How long we keep it

• Quote requests: up to 24 months after you send them, so we can answer follow-up questions, and then deleted. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
• Analytics data: for the retention period set in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

The moving company that receives your request keeps its copy under its own retention policy.

9. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, so data you send is encrypted in transit. Access to stored quote requests is limited to the people who run the site. No system is completely secure, so please send only the details the form asks for.

10. Your rights

Under the UAE’s Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 regarding the Protection of Personal Data, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data, unless we must keep it by law;
• restrict or stop processing it;
• send your data to you, or to another organisation, in a machine-readable format;
• withdraw your consent, which stops further sharing but does not undo a referral already made.

To use a right, send the quote request form and start the notes field with "Data request", saying what you want. We aim to reply within 30 days. To have a moving company delete the copy it received, contact that company as well.

11. Children

This website is for adults arranging a move. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your quote request is shared, we will say so on this page before it applies.

13. Contact
