Where the DAMAC Living process applies

DAMAC Living is DAMAC’s resident and owner service platform. It covers its master communities, DAMAC Hills and DAMAC Hills 2, and DAMAC buildings whose management runs through the same system. When you open the tenant registration page you choose your building from DAMAC’s own list; if your tower is not there, its move permit is handled by the building’s owners association, and the building NOC guide applies.

How to register the move-in

  1. Register the Ejari first

Most move-in requests need your tenancy registration. If it is not done yet, see the Ejari guide.

  2. Open DAMAC Living

Download the DAMAC Living app or open the Tenant Move In / Register page. The site offers sign-in with UAE PASS.

  3. Choose More, then Tenant Move In / Register

Select your building and unit number and enter the details the form asks for. Upload the documents it lists.

  4. Wait for confirmation before fixing the date

Keep the mover’s booking flexible until DAMAC confirms, then book the service lift for the same slot if you live in an apartment building.

  5. Send the approval to the mover

Include the gate or building name, the slot and any vehicle restrictions the approval mentions.

What DAMAC does not publish

DAMAC Living’s help pages explain where to start the move, not the rules behind it. Before you pay a deposit to a mover, ask DAMAC Living support, through the app, these four questions:

  • Is there a permit fee or a refundable damage deposit for my building, and how is it refunded?
  • How many working days before the move should the request go in?
  • What are the permitted moving hours, and are Sundays or public holidays allowed?
  • Does the moving company need to register its crew or vehicle separately?

Truck routes to DAMAC Hills

The permit only matters if the truck can get there on time. From 1 October 2026 the RTA closed several roads to trucks around the clock, and its list includes Al Qudra Street. Sheikh Zayed Road is closed to trucks from 6 am to 10 pm, while Emirates Road is exempt.

For a move to or from DAMAC Hills or DAMAC Hills 2, ask each mover which route its truck will take and how much driving time that adds. A cheaper quote that assumes a closed road is not cheaper on the day. The full list is on the RTA truck restrictions page.

DAMAC move-out request

The move-out request is raised separately from your tenant account in DAMAC Living. Before you submit it, close the DEWA and any district cooling account for your move-out date and agree the handover inspection with your landlord.

DAMAC permit questions

How do I apply for a DAMAC move-in permit?

In the DAMAC Living app. DAMAC Living’s help pages say tenants open the app, go to More and choose Tenant Move In / Register, then select their building and unit. The same step is available on the DAMAC Living website.

How much is the DAMAC move-in permit?

DAMAC does not publish a fee or deposit on its help pages. The app shows any charge for your building when you apply. Where Dubai towers charge for the permit or lift booking, published price guides put it at up to AED 500 (typical range, checked October 2026), so check before you agree the moving date.

How far in advance should I register a DAMAC move-in?

DAMAC does not publish a lead time. Register as soon as your Ejari is in place, and do not book the mover for a fixed slot until the app confirms the request.

Do I need a separate permit to move out of a DAMAC property?

Yes. The move-out request is raised separately in the DAMAC Living app from the tenant account. Settle outstanding charges and close utility accounts first so the request is not held up.

Can moving trucks use Al Qudra Street to reach DAMAC Hills?

Not under the RTA rules in force from 1 October 2026, which list Al Qudra Street among the roads closed to trucks around the clock. Ask the mover which route it will use; Emirates Road is exempt from the peak-hour bans.
