Movers in Emirates Hills
Emirates Hills is part of Emaar's Emirates Living, so movers are not let in without an Emaar Community Management move-in permit, applied for online at least one business day ahead. Homes are large custom villas, which makes packing and crating most of the work. A 5-bedroom villa move costs about AED 7,000–10,000 at Dubai market rates, plus AED 3,500–4,000 to pack it.

Packing a large Emirates Hills villa
ECM describes custom-built homes on plots of 12,000 to 45,000 square feet, most overlooking a lake or the golf course, and a move often includes art, chandeliers, a piano, a wine collection or large outdoor furniture. Those items, not the number of bedrooms, decide how long a move takes. Ask for a room-by-room inventory and for crating on art and stone tables; art movers and piano movers explain what that involves.
Before you sign, ask each mover in writing what its liability cover is and how claims work; moving insurance and claims lists the questions.
The Emirates Living move-in permit
Emaar Community Management manages Emirates Living, which includes Emirates Hills. Its FAQ says a move-in permit is required and access is denied without it, that you apply online at least one business day before the move, and that tenants upload an Ejari copy, Emirates ID front and back, and a passport with the visa page. Moving out needs a permit too.
If the move runs over several days, ask ECM whether the permit covers each day. The Emaar permit guide has the details.
Splitting a big villa move over several days
Owners of large homes often split the job: packing and crating on day one, loading on day two, and unpacking and placing furniture at the new house after that. Keep a short list of what must travel with you rather than on the truck, such as passports, jewellery, small artworks and laptops, and agree with the mover which rooms it may seal off as finished.
If the sale or lease dates do not line up, a large storage unit for a few weeks lets the old villa be handed back on time.
